Ohio State Career Overview
• Graduated in Autumn 2019 with his degree in family resource management
• Spent five years, including 2015 red-shirt year, with the program
• Played in four victories over Michigan and was a part of three consecutive outright Big Ten Conference championship teams
• Superb, physical athlete who played along the defensive line early in his career and tight end for three years
• Stepped up and played both positions as a senior against botsh Maryland and Rutgers, the first two-way Buckeye since Zach Boren (FB and LB) in 2012 vs. Indiana
• Played in 50 games over his career and started four times at tight end
• Caught what proved to be the winning touchdown pass in the 2019 Rose Bowl vs. Washington, a 1-yarder from Dwayne Haskins
• Biggest catch of his career came in 2018 in overtime against Maryland, an 11-yard reception on fourth down that extended an OSU touchdown drive in the 52-51 victory
• The win over Maryland was needed and, coupled with Ohio State’s victory a week later over Michigan, clinched a Big Ten championship game berth for the Buckeyes
• Career receiving stats: 17 receptions for 198 yards and four touchdowns
• Was coach and multiple players’ answer to a FOX Sports question: “who on this team do you put in the octagon against an opponent’s toughest guy?”
• Wore 38 early in career before switching to 13
