That place is not very populated, most tropics have 1 or 2 replies. I was interested in engaging but the threads seemed so stale.
    Thanks for the recommendation though.

Game had a 2017 Pats/Jaguars AFCCG feel to it in that 4th quarter...

    20-10 score

    Mahomes pick = Lewis fumble

Both SF and Jags tightened their buttholes on O

Mahomes 44yd completion on 3rd and long = Amendola catch on 3rd and 18 to keep hope alive

Chiefs and Pats score to make it 20-17

SF and Jags again looking like the stage is too big

Chiefs and Pats score to take 24-20 lead

SF and Jags turnover on downs

Williams and Lewis ice the game on runs around left end

SF learned the hard way you can't give Mahomes an opening, much like the Jags learned the same about Brady.

Congrats, KC. You saw SF leaving the door open for your comeback and you burst through that door like the kool aid man.

    Regards,
    Chris

I hope teams learn to stop doing this unless it's the last 2 minutes of the game and you're ahead by double digits:

So does this mean that the narrative that defense wins championships has been officially over now that Kansas City Chiefs have won a Super Bowl ?

It’s been over for a while. The best TEAM wins championships. Sometimes they win low-scoring games and sometimes they win high-scoring games. But they need to be able to do both. KC’s defense only needed to improve to the level of “decent” in order to seriously contend. And it did. And they did.

Anyone got the ratings for the game? I’m sure it something like a 42 or 43.

What makes you believe the Chiefs were the better team? Their secondary was very weak and so was their pass rush. They got Garoppolo becaus he is a statue in the pocket. They improved their run defense, that's really about it.

The 49ers were the better team in the run game and had the better defense... for the most part, at least. Their secondary got exposed (mainly Sherman). You could see the Chiefs were targeting him.

    Weird.
I've been trying to read MMQB's Breer column but the website has been stuck on week 5 2019 for the last hour.

Uh, they won. Better offense and a defense that was more complimentary.

I totally agree about that. It's puzzled me for years. So many times (and not just NE DBs) I've seen DBs commit PI, allow completions, or knock the ball away when if they had just looked back for a half second they could have knocked it down for sure and probably intercepted it. The only thing I can think of is that they want to keep looking at the receiver so they can try to put on the brakes if the receiver brake-checks them to try to draw a DPI.

To be fair, you have to be really careful about looking back before the pass is thrown because the receiver could use your lack of attention to change direction and try to get open. But once the ball is in the air the ball's destination is set in stone.

There is a one-word answer for that question: confidence. If a guy isn’t turning his head in coverage, he has no confidence in his man to man abilities. Example - Devin McCourty as a CB.

all I could get away with saying around my wife was “Shakira clearly did some heavy workouts to prepare for this”

because her stomach was unreal... very fit and defined.... she was probly doing crunches every day until her abs felt like lava

Oh and those hips sure don’t lie..... lol
