I've never had any issues with the Chiefs. I've actually tended to root for them over the years as they normally play the Chargers, Raiders and Broncos, all of which have been threats to the Pats for a long time. I really like the matchup in this year's SB too. I'm not rooting for or against anyone in particular and want to see a good game that comes down to the last play. All "feel good" stories for whoever wins as well.

We'll see how that works out against the best defensive front they have seen.

They pretty much had to “jettison” Hernandez.

My post wasn't expressing "hate," just the fact that KC has won a Super Bowl when 12 other teams haven't.

Most KC fans are dumb and somewhat in the Philly stratosphere of fandom. This board would have an ever bigger meltdown if Jimmy G wins a Super Bowl.

Also, the Pats aren't in it, so I can't say I care a whole lot. I'm unlikely to watch since it'll be on at 2:30am where I'll be.

You're right about KC fans being lamentable, but a lot of folks here prefer the 49ers win and don't mind seeing Garoppolo succeed.

    And?

I'm no fan of several players on the Chiefs, most notably Hill.

They've built a team that was inches short of a SB trip last year - and came back and got there this year. Good for them. Good for SF.

Two of the best coaches in football. One gets to hoist the Lombardi.

I hope the fans of both teams enjoy the hell out of the next couple of weeks, because guess what, for ANY fan in any fan base, it could be the last time you get to feel it.

When my Dad was a little kid, the Red Sox were with the franchise in baseball. They were champion right before his 1st, 2nd, and 4th birthdays, with the Boston Braves being crowned champion right before he was born.

Lifelong Red Sox fan...just under two decades after his death, they won again...

Should be a great game, by the way.

    I think the Chiefs win.

If only Suggs could be released before the game, it would be better.

Classy of Chiefs to have Bobby Bell present the trophy, and the team winning the AFC at home wearing their classic, good looking, respectful, real helmets and uniforms.

We can only imagine Gino Cappelletti presenting the Hunt trophy after we won in Foxborough in our classic, good looking, respectful, real helmets and uniforms.

Rozelle went behind Davis' back and brokered a deal in which the NFL and its owners got off scot-free for all of their sh*t, and that is the foundation for what we have today. Obviously, it infected the Dolphins, Broncos and Chiefs and others, so here we are.

I would have liked to have had a long, long, detailed conversation with Bob Kraft a year before he bought the team. After a quarter century, he's still only beginning to understand.

Bob had all this exalted high reverence for the league, and pretty much was blinded to the NFL's corruption by his personal vindictiveness toward Billy Sullivan.

In leading the charge to hire Goodell and then publicly standing by him through everything over the last 15 years, it is obvious that Kraft is a large part of the NFL’s new form of corruption.

Goodell was instrumental in brokering a deal to keep the team in Foxborough - and Kraft adopted him like a son for it. Now he's stuck.

I remember seeing Al Davis comment about the merger. He said something to the effect that had he been doing the negotiating the AFL would have gotten a much better deal. I believed him.
