Glad the Pats moved on from him.

He will forever be known as Danny Woodcock.

His life wouldn't have changed, maybe.

Mine would have though. That following monday would have been full of smiles and gloating, instead it's was another heaping humble pie ala Eli... he's a selfish bastard innit he? Only think about himself and not about me.

This doesn't surprise me a lot. He was always a super down to earth guy. I remember reading the article about how he used an old trophy as a seat in his dorm room when playing video games.

I don't believe him.
I agree. While I’m sure there is truth to what he says (his life isn’t much different) he would have the ring and the reminder of a SB victory. Yes « his day to day » life isn’t impacted that much, but it seems bizarre that if you spend that much time and effort - even if it’s work - you always want to achieve the ultimate goal. In this case, being SB champs.

Loved that Patriot right there. Looked like he and Rivers were off to a great start until Danny got injured. It was all downhill from there. I wish him well, seems like the kind of player that moves on from life after football just fine.

Disappointing to hear that from Woodhead of all people.

To this day, Rodney Harrison is haunted by Super Bowl 42. Thats why Rodney is the best Safety that the Patriots have ever had. I recall watching old San Diego Charger games and Rodney and JR Seau were the whole team gaming from start to finish regardless of how crappy the Chargers were and the score.

what's the point of lamenting it now? Even Bill Buckner moved on

sounds like something anyone with some sour grapes would openly say....some people are like that

Think of it this way. If they won that game... Woodhead doesn’t become a HOF’er, he doesn’t become a Pats HOF’er, it probably has no impact on whether Bill keeps him. He’s not getting any more credit than Hogan would get from SB 53. Nobody is going to contextualize his career differently.

For Brady it means everything because it is about how his life will be defined. For Woodhead he was a role player. Even for someone like Revis 2014 meant more just to get that champion label on his resume. Woodhead is a guy 99% of non Pats fans will forget or remember for his last name.
