OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Arians is his head coach, so it's like a live-in nagging mother-in-law. No bride is worth that. Regards, Chris

Semi-OT: What is the most unwatchable type of football game?

Games in windstorms where the passing games go to hell, defenses cheat up to the LOS knowing any throw beyond 10 yards will be affected, and the winner is decided by who screws up the least. Snow and rain at times affect games like this, but strong wind almost always does. Regards Chris

Air Quality Index in Seattle (update: NFL says it's "monitoring the situation")

Unless rain washes it down to earth, this is going to linger. I'm looking at my first blue sky today in about a month. Regards, Chris

Why was Pete Carroll fired anyway?

The 1999 team was a Vinatieri miss in KC and a failed 4th down stop against Miami from being 8-0. Things looked so bright heading into the bye. Then a complete loser of a team showed up for the 2nd half of the season. The nadir was when they went into Philly for a must win and completely crapped...

I feel like I watched a different game than most of you

That may be true. For sure the game plays out differently. The one advantage Tom would have is with the OL adjustments as he has experience with 4 of the 5 guys and Andrews was back. Who knows how that would have translated into points, or even just flipping field position. Regards, Chris

I feel like I watched a different game than most of you

Funny. I rewatched the game and was even more impressed by his performance... 1. The Pats have *nobody* who can stretch a defense. Defenses know this so every play is going to be a run, short-to-midrange pass or schemed play like a screen or end-around. The O is going to be tasked with precise...

School a Youngster: What Made John Hannah So Good?

I'm pretty sure this came a few years after Hannah's retirement. Not sure that meets the thrown under bus statute. Regards, Chris

NEW ARTICLE: ICYMI: Asante Samuel Claims He Taught Bill Belichick How To Coach Cornerbacks...

I especially liked Asante's coverage on Ricky Proehl's SB38 game-tying catch. Taught Bill perfect form on that one. Regards, Chris

    Favorite Pats player pre-Parcells?

Grogan. One of the last dinosaurs who called his own plays. Gave the 85 team a shot in the arm while floundering at 2-3. Rescued the team in the 86 finale down in Miami. Played with a freaking neck roll at the end of his career. Regards, Chris
