Week 2 NFL Schedule and Predictions
Some great games on the schedule this week, and it starts with one of the best rivalries as well as the oldest in the NFL with the Bears and Packers. Feel free to add your own choices below.
Thursday 8:20 PM ET
Bears at Packers - The Bears are much improved this year, Brandon Marshall and especially Alshon Jeffrey in the red-zone. But I think the Packers at home will be a tough one to beat. Packers 30-27
Sunday, September 16th

Buccaneers at Giants - The Giants dropped a tough one to the Cowboys in Week 1 and their running game will not have an easy day again against Tampa. Giants are also banged up in the secondary. So they’ll turn to Eli Manning who’ll have a big day. Giants 27-20
Raiders at Dolphins - The Raiders go on the road and start slow but beat the Fins in Miami. Raiders 24-13
Texans at Jaguars - Jags gave up nearly 400 yards to Ponder and the Vikes, say hello to Arian Foster, Matt Schaub et.al. Texans 31-7
Browns at Bengals - The Bengals fell flat last week, and I don’t expect to see that two weeks in a row. Expect Andy Dalton to have a much better game. Brandon Weeden…welcome to the NFL part two. Bengals 27-6
Chiefs at Bills - Tough close game, the Bills showed they weren’t even remotely ready for the season to start after a lot of off-season high expectations. I think Ryan Fitzpatrick will bounce back in this one. Mario Williams will introduce himself to Matt Cassel after being nearly invisible for Week 1. Bills 24-21
Ravens at Eagles - The Ravens looked sharp in Week 1, they continue that trend with Joe Flacco, and Ray Rice having huge games against the Eagles. Michael Vick won’t have an easy time of it against Ed Reed, Ray Lewis and Co. Ravens 34-17
Saints at Panthers - This will be a fun one to watch…whomever has the ball last wins. And I think the Saints pull out a close win against the Panthers. Expect Drew Brees and Cam Newton to each have big games. Saints 34-31
Cardinals at Patriots - Read the preview here: Patriots 37-13
Vikings at Colts - Another good close game, the players of this one may be Jared Allen, Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis on defense. Pulling for Andrew Luck to pull it out late. Colts 24-21

Redskins at Rams - Robert Griffin III looked every bit the part last week against the Saints. I expect him to continue that trend against the Rams. Steven Jackson will have tough sledding in this one. Redskins 31-17
Cowboys at Seahawks - Seattle is a tough place to play but Russell Wilson in just his second game will have a really tough time as Rob Ryan will dial it up to make life hard on the rookie. Tony Romo had a very good game against the Giants, he’ll lead the Cowboys with another big game on the road in this one. Cowboys 27-13

Jets at Steelers - The Jets trounced Buffalo last week, and the Steelers lost to the Broncos in Denver bringing out all the “Steelers are done” doubters. But Ryan Clark returns to the secondary and as bad as Troy Polamalu was at gambling against Peyton Manning, Mark Sanchez isn’t Peyton… Roethlisberger bounces back at home and the Steelers hold serve. Steelers 27-17
Titans at Chargers - The Titans got little room to run against the Patriots and this week will be no different. Jake Locker played pretty well as I thought he would but may not be able to go. If Philip Rivers can limit turnovers the Bolts should score some points. Chargers 27-24

Lions at 49ers - Great Sunday Night Football matchup, I like the 49ers defense to rule the day in this one. Alex Smith has the weapons to make now to make the Niners offense go. 49ers 24-17
Monday, September 17th

Broncos at Falcons - This one could morph into a shoot-out with two offenses that lit it up during Week 1. Peyton Manning showed the reports of his demise are premature and I expect him to be better this week as he gets more comfortable with his receivers and they with him. I don’t think Matt Ryan and the Falcons will be able to keep up. Broncos 34-27
